Shopping mall thoroughly examined by the CommONEnergy project

What is the state of the art in the field of energy efficiency in commercial buildings? What are the key specifications and how are they received by the legislations both of the European Community and each of Countries members of the EU? What is the state of the art in the field of energy efficiency in commercial buildings? These are the questions that CommONEnergy project sought to provide some answers to, during the conference “Cost-competitive deep renovation of shopping centers. Advanced technologies, innovative tools and drivers for EU policy”, to be held on September 7th in Brussels, where it presents its final results. It is about the European Union’s FP7 program, conducted through 4 years of applicative research and development in relation to the 24 individual tests.

The study

The project involved 23 European partners in the industry, of research and retail, including shopping centers in Italy, Spain and Norway, used as demonstrative cases in the implementation of innovative technological solutions, and additional 8 malls in 5 different European Countries as examples of inefficiencies and virtual simulation of systemic solutions. The complete conference program is available on the site http://commonenergyproject.eu and registration is available until the 20th of August.
